本人乃新手一名，最近選購了 Canon 40D(body only)，想另購鏡頭，本人主力影小朋友及生活照，心儀的有 Tarmon A16 or A09，請問邊支比較好，或有無其它建議？本人 Budget about HK$3000

A16 is pretty good but not avaible now! Also think about 50mm f1.4 or f1.8 II.

如果主力是影小朋友的話，我覺得a09好D，因小朋友周圉走動zoom遠D可捕捉佢最自然既一面。

A09, I don't know. A16, I have one. It's quite good. Larger aperture is useful in dim conditon. However, the focus range is just 17-50mm. It has no IS, therefore when you are shooting at actively moving children, it is not an easy task. Of course, if you use tele lens, IS is more important. Besides A16, I have 70-200 4L IS, the quality is certainly much better than A16. (although A16 is good). I use both lenses to take photographs for my kids. If your budget is limited, you can try using A16 or even A09.
