Internal flash speed sync is 1/500 on the D50, however, the instruction manual of SB 600 (external flash) explained it could achieve 1/3200 or more. Anyway, is the maximum speed sync 1/500 on the D50?? If not, could you guys tell me how to set it more than 1/500?? Thanks a lot.

The high speed syn flash will flash longer time than usual, so no matter how faster the shutter speed, the open of shutter is still within the flashing period.

The shortcoming of high speed syn flash is it uses more power to flash, and the GN index reduce more with higher shutter speed..
