If shot indoor and main object is so close and I need to use external flash and no background wall to reflect the light. How I can ensure no overexposure of the main object by using the flash and shot very close????

TTL or manual????

Try Manual Mode with lowest output first and adjusted for higher output if need. In case the object is already over when you are using lowest input, you may use a translucent object to block the flash unit.
