When I use my camera in P mode,
all the photo taken are blurred,

but when I use the Auto mode
the image becomes sharp again

I have checked both of them have the same exposure time and F value.

I have tried different value of white exposure as well.

Any expert know the reason?

I am using Canon A 40 (patched)
I have sent the camera once to the centre and asked them to fix the auto focus as well

My camera is now out of warranty already.
Any suggestion?

I really want to use the P / Manual mode to try out the effect of different exposure time!

Were you using high ISO value (say 400) to take the "blur" photo?

I usually use 400.....

Indeed I am confused about ISO and exposure time

I think exposure time is the time the CCD expose to the environment.

I just know ISO is the value for the sensitivity for the film (normal camera)
so I used to use 400 at night or taking quick motion

But How is that done in DC now?

I have been using Canon's DC for long time but I never use ISO400 or above. Try ISO50/100, you will note the difference immediately.
