why bigger the CCD is better?

like comparing 1/2.7" VS A80 1/1.8"

what is the different of the image with these 2 different size CCDs?

bigger CCD, got more sense unit, therefore, the image can be more details..

Wrong!!! From what I have read, a larger CCD should theoratically produce images with fewer noise, especially at high megapixels.

The larger area of sensor element the higher photo image signal can be generated.
It work exactly like solar cell. The large the solar cell area the more electricity can be generated.

Since the CCD area is so small, DC processor need to amplify the signal.
CMOS area is much larger thus amplify would be to a less extend.

When magnefying the signal the noise is magnified at the same time.

This is called signal to noise level.
