I think it is difficult. Because the image of high zoom rate lens (eg. 35-350mm) is poor than the low rate zoom (28-105mm) lens. Also, don't forget the ratio of 300D is 1.6X. Minimum, you have to carry two lens. The lens I prefer to carry are,

1) 17-40mm f/4L $5500)
2) 70-200mm f/2.8L $8900
3) If no money, then 70-200mm f/4L $5050

Too heavy to carry....... If using DLSR, you have to face this problem, but some people interest in it. For me, I interest but no money to buy the lens.

可以試o下 tokina 24-200 f/3.5-5.6，dpreview forum o的 人話支鏡都幾ok，用落300d度焦距會變成38-320mm，價錢好像是us$300。
