In theory, given the same CCD size, higher pixels mean more noise. So, you should expect higher noise level with 5700 than the A80 because both have 1/1.8" CCD. However, it is difficult to compare with testing them side by side. A80 has very high picture quality but the lens is about 1 stop slower.
