My A80 have no that problem. However, have you checked carefully? Place one object on right hand side??

Thank you for your advice, dclkwok. I will try.
But I tried take photo on a flat suface, a newspaper on the floor, the my A80 always got focus on the left side (of the 9 square), not on the centre column. Anyone has this experience?

I have similar problem. It tends to focus on the right side of the 9 square shown on the LCD under many circumstances.
I don't know whether it is the AiAF not smart enough or other hardware problems. I prefer to turn off AiAF and use the centre square for focusing which I think would be more accurate and always get what I want in focus.
