請問呢有沒有SLR或DSLR的鏡頭有24-70mm F1.8-2.8呢?
因為我之前是用Olympus c5050的.覺得F1.8是幾好用的.
點解DSLR的鏡頭會沒有這個光圈的變焦鏡呢?
如果有,是否會好大枝呢?
希望會有大大解答一吓啦.....

i am afraid we may not and will not have such a fast zoom lens for the current 35mm SLR or cropped APS sized DSLR, or it will be extremely expensive, bulky and heavy.

however, i see no advantages of the current 5050z 's f/1.8 over say a 24-70mm f/2.8-4 zoom for DSLR. because,

1. speed : given the much bigger sensor size found in DSLR, there are enough margin for you to raise the ISO to compensate for the smaller aperture opening, without worry about noise.

2. DOF : again, due to the larger sensor size found in DSLR, one can still have a much wider range of control over the DOF.

so all-in-all, its no doubt any DSLR with a reasonable fast and wide zoom say f/2.8-4 will be an upgrade

24-70mm F.8 of cux is good... but is also mean lots of money........ =^_^=

I think is really up 2 u...
F2.8 in zoom lens is the best already...
Prime lens can easy get...
F1.8 from 20mm, 28mm, 50mm, 85mm, & 200mm...
F2.0 for some other like 25mm, 100mm, 105mm, & 135mm...
Plus also the best of the best F1.4 24mm, 28mm, 35mm, 50mm, 85mm...
and these are almost the best lens in the market...
but again this type of lens could easy cost more then a 3rd party zoom lens 28-70mm F2.8... =^_^=

so that's why people like OM C5050... cux is cheap and also get F1.8.... but again... this type of DC is only for normal people(I'm not saying is bad... this is a very fine camera)... if u want get better picture and higher standard... D-SLR is what people need...

I'm not saying that DC is sucks... DC is really good... cux is small and easy 2 carry around... but again... D-SLR is just another lvl on top of it...

Just remember that... D-SLR will cost u more money... if u want all the lens in F1.8-2.8... =^_^=

I think a normal zoom lens like 24-120mm F3.5-5.6 is already really good... =^_^=

Pentax得支FA20-35/F4,唔平但又細又好..唔介意副廠,要大光圈得色盲20-40/2.8 EX DG,平d有Tamron 19-35/3.5-4.5

I think Sigma 17-35mm F2.8-4 EX DG ASPHERICAL... is also really good... for money... and range... but will not be launch until March 2004...

I also like the Sigma 12-24mm F4.5-5.6 EX DG ASPHERICAL...
I suddently inlove with this lens... I think I will not buy the Nikon DX 12-24mm F4 from now on... reason is simply... Sigma 12-24mm can use in normal SLR... trust me... within next 1-2 yrs... D-SLR will all 1:1... no more 1:1.5/1.6... at that time DX lens is useless... =^_^=

dear bros,
no offense, many many years ago, i have some bad experience using sigma lens on its durability and colour rendition. so i think i probably will not go back and buy any sigma lenses any more.
i know the optics of them probably improved much, but my recent experience with my boss' 17-35 f/2.8-4 ex dg also doesn't appeal me on the sub standard AF speed on a 10D, and so is it doesn't give me an impression they are well built. these are just personal opinion though. i totally agree good pictures may not necessarily mean has to be come from expensive gears.
personally i think the recently launched Tamron 17-35 f/2.8-4 Di could be the best bang for the bucks, and so is the 28-75 f/2.8 Di.
yes, i also hope the next or the next next DSLR is going to be full frame. :D then i don't need to sell my 35mm f/2 and 24mm f/2.8 prime la.

I knew Sigma may not work with Canon Camera... that's a truth fact... but that's old stories... like 2 yrs ago... nowadays I don't c that much... =^_^=
I will buy more prime lens then zoom lens now... since is much better... =^_^=

多謝各方意見.小弟都係想知到吓有冇這種鏡頭.現正在考慮望遠變焦鏡中.
但又不是十分迫切.....

好奇怪....聽了及睇了好多意見,都係講定焦是十分好的攝影鏡頭.
試過了一枝 smc FA 85mm* F1.4真的是十分好的成像.但如果
是一枝變焦就好了.........

he..he.... larry hing, thats going to become true only in dream, f/1.4 tele zoom.

no strange at all, its a lot easier and CHEAPER to design and produce high quality fast prime than same quality FAST zoom.

so within the reasonable price range, and if you want fast and good quality lenses, there are no choices others than prime. this is a world of compromise.

zoom and prime, both had their merits, depends on how you weight their pros and cons. prime is in general, cheaper, faster, lighter and higher quality, zoom just give you convenience. its quite clear why enthusiast lean more on primes.

I just wonder how many people dare to take some photos at such wider open (f/1.0 or 1.2). Let's say whether such kind of fixed focal-length lens can be fully handled at a larger aperture.
