唔知420EX有冇自動測光(測距)呢？
火力用o黎影飲宴相又夠唔夠呢？
成日聽人講550EX有"後簾…"又係乜傢伙呢？
420EX除o左火力唔夠550EX強，仲有咩功能係缺乏呢？
請問有冇人可以幫忙解答呢？

Anyway.. I also learnt what is "後簾" recently.

My understanding.
the flash happened just after shutter open - 前簾 , normal practive.
the flash happened just before shutter close - 後簾

420ex got no FEC, that is necessary for 300D, 300D usually got UNDER when using flash. But you can't set it on the 300D body. (but a problem can change it via a PC). So Canon need you to pay for extra 1K for the above two functions.. which they disabled them in 300D.

420EX 係可以用晒300D果七個對焦點?E-TTL測光，500EX只可以用水平果五點，但550EX可以直接調較閃光燈補償，加上其他功能例如後簾同步（影夜景人象先用），頻閃，加埋較大既輸出，的確好用少少．如果未買420EX，可以考慮副廠既，有SIGMA 500DG SUPER，價錢同420EX差唔多，又有閃光燈補償同E-TTL功能，小弟就揀番550EX．

2nd curtain flast sync:

An object moving from left to right at night e.g. a car

o is the car
- is the residual image of the headlamp

with 1st curtain sync

o------- (the car looks like moving backward)

with 2nd curtain sync

-------o (yes the car now looks like moving forward)

Also with 2nd curtain sync in slow shutter speed, your people's faces will be clear because the image created by the flash goes onto the photo last. They will also not move because they think the shot has not been taken yet. But the other situation, your flash goes off immediately and they will move away, thus cause ghost image on the night photos. But be warned! The 300D always sets off a pre-flash first to get an exposure reading first. So warn your subject to stand still until the second, very strong flash light before moving!
