I want to buy a prosumer DC. After reviewing dpreview.com, I cannot make decision on this two DC, please help, thanks.

dear HWC hing, i think your G2 is already a very good prosumer DC. a more sensible move is DSLR.
i am sure besides you can zoom further, both fz10 and s7000 won't make you happier.
u better save up the $ or spend them on a set of tthis

Unfortunately, my G2 was damaged a week ago. So, I want to buy another one. You are right, I may upgrade to DSLR, but the price is really high for a good body and lens (I don't like 300D and D70 very much). At the meantime, I want to to buy a prosumer DC instead. Maybe, I can use 300D's price to buy FZ10 and Bassar TM. IS it a good choice?

If its the case you are considering DSLR in the near future, I will suggest you buy the cheapest possible "prosumer" DC for the moment. and could be a good 2nd hand nikon FM2 plus some good vintage prime lens to play with. Then both the film body and the nikon lens can be re-used when you get a Nikon DSLR.

I have a friend in Japan, just bought a D100, and he specially want to collect some vintage MF nikkors as they are still very good quality and extremely well built. Thats sound very right strategy to me. :D
