It doesn't matter where is it made ! DX6490 is one of the best Kodak DC in 2003 ! If you like Kodak DC, this is a good choice !

Now, the main accessories are also made in Japan, but many minor accessories are shipped from China to Japan. We can say that it is assembled in Japan.

For the products which is made in China, I think that the workmanship is OK, but the quality control is not good. So, the probability of damaging is higher.

It is my 16 years experiences in China factories. We need to try hard to train the QC, but it is really really really a big big problem.
