Then, I think I will go for "Tamron 24-135,3.5-5.6" , about how much? and where to buy is cheapest?

I just upgraded from Panasonic F1 to 300D (big big big difference), hehe, can say start from sketch concerning DSLR and want to play 'Man's Toy' from now on (I ahev no intention to discriminate female, hehe! in fact I know many good female photographer)

i will suggest if its still possible, buy the cheappy EFS kit lens, for the fast and smooth USM plus more importantly a practical wide angle to use.

24x1.6 = 38.4, not quite wide enough for a general purpose zoom lens.

i truely doubt if the quality difference between it and those bulky and heavy Tamron SP24-135 worth the cost, weight and sacrify in AF speed and performance.

just my little opinion though.

if quality really matter, i will again suggest using prime lenses, if L lenses is not an opinoin right now.

BTW, some time ago photo.net posted a piece of article with regard to lens for 300D.

What I meant "too crazy to buy the Canon 24-70mm f2.8" was this lens was supposed for the higher end DSLR like 10D...., but I bought this for my 300D of which it doesn't look match. Nevertheless, I like this lens so much!

Originally, I was going to buy 10D but I was foreced to buy 300D due to 10D was not available before CNY. :(

"Tamron 24-135,3.5-5.6" is also a good choice, however, I have no idea for this cost. Sorry!
