According to my test on my D70. This problem will only occur when the shutter speed is higher than 1/2000 (N.B. in 1/2000, it will not occur).
In 1/8000, this problem will not occur when the ISO is higher or equal to 500.
Although it is a 'bug' of the camera, it will not usually affect the performance of the camera as we seldom use shutter speed higher than 1/2000.
It is still acceptable in my view.
I cannot demonstrate the blooming effect up til now.
