well !! My camara ( G3 ) just broken..so I want to get a new one between 10D and D70, so I am asking for suggestions from you guys. Please tell me which one is better, the prices of them and do I need to add any lens or not. Actually I am not in HK right now..so

I like 10D rather than D70.

But,
10D -- expensive
D70 -- cheaper, you can use the price difference to buy a good lens.

I prefer D70 and I've just bought one last week.

Pros:
1. Price is much lower (D70 body $7,980 10D body $12,???), you can save approx. $5,000 for a very good len. In addition, you may change camera body some years later when the full frame DSLR's price go down.
2. More high tech.

Cons:
1. D70 body is only plastsic, 10D is magnesium alloy.
2.The view finder of 10D is larger and easy to see

I haven't use 10D before, all above are generally come from newsgroup and forum only.

If you're not urgent to use it , both 10D & D70 not the best choise .

10D already built more than one year , Canon may build the new one in this year .

D70 still get some problem , Korea already stopped selling .

In this year , for sure coming are Fujifilm S3pro & Minolta Dynx 7D .

Fujifilm S3pro get the best picture quality in 10k dollar DSLR .

Minolta Dynx 7D get the most powerful function also with AS system .

Even 300D (now with FEC) should be considered. 300D + a 28-135 USM IS is around the same price as D70. Need I say more.

一定是買Nikon D70啦!
1) Korea的回收只是部份貨的問題.因為其它地方都沒有此問題.固不須擔心.
2) D70 是膠殼又有甚麼問題呢? 難到你會用十年二十年嗎? 數碼時代一日千里,話不定你用一至二年後又轉款.買超合金body又有甚麼用?
3) 留些錢買好鏡頭更實際!

D-SLR body turn around very fast, so D70 or 10D not the important point, well lens have good image quality, I think you choice first on the lens you need & you like, Nikon or Canon, made a wrong decide difficult to go back.

我之前都同你有同一個問題，但我最後都係買d70
原因：
1.價錢問題
d70 body連n仔dx鏡都係$10000，10d body 已經$12000
你買得dslr，又會買其他鏡、外閃、filter等，呢d都唔小錢

2. 技術問題
10d比d70功能的確係強好多，不過我有好多功能都用唔到...
d70對我已經好夠用
老實講，功能上10d同d70始終係飛機同車比，但問題係你有無飛機牌?
我自問得車牌，所以都係用車好d
當然，如果你技術高又唔同

3. 出機年份
10d講到底都係2002年尾，d70始終新d

4. dslr o既靈魂始終係鏡頭....，一支好o既鏡可以用10年8年，你個body會玩幾多年?

5.有何用途
dslr影相係好d，但某程度上都幾唔方便.....
例如：如果你玩snapshot，部dslr就玩死你...所以好多兄弟就算有dslr都會有多部普通o既dc，方便d.....

我鼓勵你做多d功課先再買都唔遲.....老實講，用機o既係你自己，部機影咩你自己最清楚，人地講咩都假......
