This is a very good camera. I brought for two weeks and took some photos. The focus is very fast even in dim environment (of course, it has the AF assistance lamp). The picture quality is quite good and like some review sites said, the noise control does a good job in this camera.
If you need a high zoom camera, it may not be your choice. But its zoom range covers wide to tele which can fulfill daily usage. Also, if you don't mind its a little bit large size, it will be the one.
I suggest you to visit shops and get a hand feel and trial before you make decision.

For the traditional film camera, not many people wants to get a 10x lens. But for DCs, quite many people will like to have one with as many x as possible. My experience is that the need for using long zoom is not very common (except in shooting birds, concerts, presentation ceremony on stage etc). In fact, using a wide angle lens is more frequent (eg., in shooting scenery spots during overseas trips, in gatherings indoors where there is not enough space for you to back off in order to include everyone in a photo.

c8080 is the best rating to other competitors

市面上現有的8M DC,我本來最喜歡A2,但看過出來效能不太好,再看看其他,覺得這部C8080是較好表現的,28-140亦應足夠平常使用
但我覺得暫時8M DC都是比較貴,$6000左右是理想價格

不知大家有無看過www.luminous-landscape.com的Review，作者對c8080的評價的相當負面的(尤其在操作上，不講畫質)，在我而言我並不只會看dpreview的Review (其實有時LL的Review才相當貼近實際我們在使用相機上的觀點，並不只在強調在電腦顯示屏1:1的畫質上)，我會如alvinyy朋友所言一樣去一去舖頭試用一下，如舖頭不方便的話最好去Showroom，一定給你慢慢的試用。

另外，luminous-landscape內有很多發人心醒的文章，有指出現今在攝影(尤其是數碼)器材上很多人錯誤的觀念， 如：

很人喜愛看電腦上看1:1的圖片作比較的行為；
忽略相機的機動性、操作便利性，只著重畫質作，最理像相機的依傍；
現今很多Newspaper及網站上因為很多畫質及品牌主意者的現像，及因而出現的?戰及衝突等等…
