I agreed to Panasonic, I think FZ10 is better. I have a Olympus C700uz before and I still have it. Now I brought a new FZ10 and I feel that FZ10 is better because the continue shooting is faster.

I think the Olympus C-770UZ is better. The criteria for choosing my digital camera are as follows:

1/. Image quality (Olympus C-770UZ wins);
2/. Portable for outdoor activities (Olympus C-770UZ wins);
3/. Speed in image recording and reading (Olympus C-770UZ wins);
4/. Long lasting battery life (Olympus C-770UZ wins);
5/. Adequate optical zoom range (both models suit my need);
6/. Adequate shutter speed range (both models suit my need);
7/. Adequate aperture value range (both models suit my need);
8/. Built-in flash (Olympus C-770UZ wins because of the two-step flash mode when taking tele and macro pictures);
9/. Expandability (both models suit my need); and
10/. Remote control (Olympus C-770UZ wins).

I like the Panasonic FZ10 for the below reasons:

1) Leica Len
2) 12 X Optical Zoom where 770 has only 10 X Optical Zoom.
3) Continue Shooting up to 7 photos per Sec.
where 770 can only shoot up to 2.1 photo per Sec.
4) 恆久光圈值 F2.8
5) 2" LCD where 770 has only 1.8" LCD
6) Use SD/MMC memory card which is more common and cheaper.
Where 770 can only use XD card.
7) More Pro Looking
8) AV out can be NTSC/PAL which is selectable.

Which one is better will depense on what you need for your camera.

By the way, I am not sure if 770 can use a remote control because I can not find it from it's Specifcation.

I think 10X or 12X zoom屬特別用途，唔應該太著重機身size來考慮。而且用到10X，無腳架無防手震真係送比你都無用。Panasonic最好既就係重有埋2.8恆定光圈，zoom到12X，開防手震用盡2.8光圈iso200，如果都重手震我想換轉770就要裝梗係腳架上面都無mud點走雞。

I sold my Sony TRV-19E DV after buying Olympus C-770. It is because c770 has excellent MPEG4 VGA movie and small size. Thanks MPEG4 movie. It really hits the DV quality.

I can shoot movie and photo during the vacation using c770. It is very compact and I do not require to bring another DV. This is the main reason I choose c770.

Yes, there is a remote control for Olympus C-770UZ digital camera model for application.

To me, it is too bulky to handle the Panasonic FZ10 digital camera model. Both 10X and 12X optical zoom power are enough for application. Does it make a significant difference between 10X and 12X in zoom power? NO, it does not.

Also, I do not think that optical image stabilization as found in the Panasonix FZ10 is significantly useful. The Olympus C-770UZ does not have it, but can still function well provided that a faster shutter speed is adopted to compensate for hand shake if any.

Both two models do not have an AF-illuminator to assist in image focussing in dark light, and that is the main issue!

On the whole, I still find the Olympus C-770UZ digital camera model better.

I found it is no problem during daytime at 10x shooting without using a tripod as the shutter speed is fast than 1/50 sec.
