DCFever 有一班經驗豐富的師兄, 他們的作品有很多也獲選"今天之選". 小弟上了DCFever一年多, 於師兄的作品上獲益良多.

但是近日有部份"今天之選", 好像有小小慣性投票情況. 其實有不少新版友的作品真的十二分出色, 但"今天之選"卻往往未見他們.

希望各版友投票,不是看"作者", 而是看"作品"而投.

The name of the game is "VOTE" ie participate
The more you vote, the more you get votes in return.

This is how it works in this kind of site.
It is an encouragement to vote other member.

A good photo usually get higher votes like your Birminham Mailbox is a better one thus deserve more votes.

今天之選 is usually the highest votes of polularity and image quality.
In the other words the author contributed a lot to this site by voting (participating) and posting a higher quality photo.

In my humble opinion this 慣性投票 is in fact a contribution to Hong Kong photography society.

Brother Dominic, yes, I agree with you, casting a vote is contributing to HK photography. However, there are two things in my mind which I don't really understand. First of all, 今天之選 is not always the pic which got the highest number of vote. eg.奮力一摘 & 港島南區的曰落 are one of those I think they have the highest number of vote that day but they are not 今天之選. And I wonder what does it take to be 今天之選. Second of all, some pics of other people are being ignored. Good pics of other not so popular people don't always get a vote.

Well, DCFever is still one of the best DC sites in HK. What I want to say is, as photographers we shall always put photo in the first place.

By the way, Dominic, your butterfly picture is very nice. It is hard to capture a butterfly's wings like your way : ) Real kool.

I guess the management of DCFEVER wants to award to new face with potential for the purpose of encouraging them to shoot and post more.
This also avoid the few top photographers dominating all photo of the day.

Some decent photos are not getting proper attention is because there are too many post a day. Going thru all the photos takes a lot of time that not many people can afford.

My advice to new member is to vote as much as you can and their photos will get more and more attention.
