In my point of view, see on Ricoh's other DC pic quality just normal,not any too excite, it's weak on 動畫解像度only 320X240, on 5mp DC a little small & 3X zoom only 28mm-85mm, can to 100mm or110mm may be more better, less manual control, on 1.8" CCD give you ISO800-1600 sure too many noise no useful, other ok.

顏色較硬,
Menu 頗難用, 可以用個環去調光圈,
但怏門又唔知點解要0係 menu裡面調,
而且部機既存取頗慢......
而價錢方面, 還可以過得去

just brough one
picture quality is very good even better than 5400 and G5, all the tiny problem which was found in G4 Wide were eliminated.
about the setting of shutter speed, just hold the upper arrow and turn the dial is ok.

I have tried to use it on roadshow counter.

Not very good especially on product quality (做工). I can see the interior from the gap of the plastic body.

1. 我知Ricoh GX設有Aperture-Priority及Manual exposure，但在M mode時是否能完全地調較快門及光圈值呢？

2. 在官網看過些simple，成像不太銳利及較多雜點，但依你的實戰經驗，成像是否跟官網的一樣？

3. 當用JEPG FINE或TIFF拍照後的存取速度的是否很慢？

1. In A mode, you can choose 3 steps of aperture. In M mode, the shutter speed can be selected by every single step.

2. From my pictures taken by GX, the colour saturation is good and sharp. It is due to the aspherical lens and super low dispersion lens. The noise is not as much as the sample from ricoh web site. The picture quality is better than my Canon G5.

3. It is very fast in saving in Jpeg fine mode (its take about .3-5 sec for saving 1.8M). In Tiff mode it take quite long time in saving but reasonable.

Ricoh put on their websit & tell ypu it is sample image may be the best photos, so the image quality reasonably said will be same as or better than your DC output(some after re-tough), so 在官網看過些simple，成像不太銳利及較多雜點,not so reasonable "The noise is not as much as the sample from ricoh web site". "The picture quality is better than my Canon G5"? I not so believe that Ricoh's len Resolution only about 11LPH, VS G5 Resolution about 14-15LPH, simm have a distant woo.......& G5 have so good image quality just I saw .......

There is so stupid that the shutter speed cannot be select by holding the upward arrow button and turning the dial. But it can be set thru the menu. The aperture can be set both in A mode and M mode.

Further to the disscussion about photo quality of GX and G5, it is very objective. Someone likes Leica more than Carl Zeiss and another one perfer Carl Zeiss' colour is more favourable than Leitz. There is no absolute answer.

In my point of view, I prefer GX more than G5 because the colour production is a bit similar to Contax Carl Zeiss.

I bought it at Broadway, MK. It cost me $3880 with 128Mb SD. I have just spent $600 the accessory kit. It includes li-ion battery and charger, lens hood and adapter, uv filter and camera case. The quality of the uv filter and can camera is not so good. But it is worth to spend buy the kit cos the saleman told me that the battery charger cost $500 if it is sold seperately.
