hello fellows! this is my first time to give my opinion on this webpage. honestly, I've kept my eyes on DCfever for a long time, and it is the best place for digital cameras. what I can say is I love this place.
Well, let's cut to the point. I'd like to invite every body who likes the 300D or has 300D to come here and sharing either advantages or disadvantages of this brilliant baby.
by the way, does anyone could tell me the current retailing price in HK? thanx!

some body says that D70 have a sharper shoot, 300D is under explosure.

on the other hand, Canon has heaps heaps of lenses for technical backup.

so which one should we choose???

hey dude,
bought 300D kit set last week @ dcc $7380
of coz free 512 MB CF card from LEXAR........
although it's a 4X but i can tell u that it much faster than the normal Sandisk CF cards.

You said 300D is underexposured..
that's true
but not just 300D, D70 also

Although most of the people say that D70 has better functions, ( or more professional) from my points of views, i prefer 300D.
Taking photos should not focus on professional functions, but it's how you put things into a rectangular place.

Russian's hacked firmware also gives more functions to 300D.....e.g. FEC, ISO 3200 etc. But i am sure that more functions will be discovered later~! 300D also has a vertical grip which really gives fantastic hand feeling than a plastic box.

Anyway, the choice is still in your hand.
I am just a poor student ~lead to choosing 300D ><"

300D真係有under explosure的問題...
而且仲要係多數時侯都under 2/3到1級
如果平時將暴光補賞+2/3 到+1 級都OK的...

此外, 300D的連拍的確幾慢...數著連左1,2,3,4..就要等回氣...
(因為我唔係成日用同埋咁既價錢, 對於我來講都OK的)

至於sharp唔sharp...
唔知係唔係我唔識用, 我覺得以前我用的數碼相機CANON G2仲sharp...

最後, 我唔知係唔係數碼相機機的dynamic range (唔知係唔係咁叫)比菲林窄, 如果光暗的反差大, 就只好取其中一樣被攝物體正確暴光, 而另一樣就超under / over (在唔用閃燈/ 閃燈用不著的時候)

如果你本身有canon鏡, 就玩300D (抵玩的)
如果唔係, 就玩D70好 (雖然我未玩過, 咁講可能有點唔公平....)

In my point of views they are two different picture mood about Canon and Nikon. I take Canon because it come out much HUMAN. and say about the underexpose is the good thing for you to recover from your mistake shoot. you can recover from too under then too expose. and the soft focus feel is the best thing come out from the CMOS because you can do it by the photoshop till it sharp like not real. the DC can give you the image it look very sharp within help from photoshop but you will see the noise behine it. and you won't forgive that noise since you have saw the image from the CMOS. so the Nikon have their best parts and you should have it if you like the Nikons. but I recommence the guy who want to buy 300D or Canon D-slr who should attent the Canon digital school. for a basic knowledge about what you just brought. and love you equiment. by the way the course of the school have a outshoot section then you can borrow any of the canon lens! try the 70-200 2.8L! :)

If you have no Canon lens. Forget the 300D, buy D70 la.
I have both 300D and D70, but I sold 300D to my friend within a short time when comparing with D70.
