咁耐都無GX 的交流區，唔通真係無乜人buy 佢既 28mm + 0.12 shutter lag + 1cm macro + hotshoe + compact size + ....??

想問下各位用家:

1) 我用 4 sec 以上暴光就開始有大量hot pixels, 你地有無咁既情況？有無咩software 可以輕易地清除他們？？

2) 用外閃時加計時自拍，竟然有想象唔到的事發生！！！你地有無試過？有無辦法解決？

本來都有想過敗這一台，但有幾關始終過唔到：

１﹒網上和雜誌上還未找到一幅可說服我的相片，包括review和讀者來相，或許熱心人可提供一下。

２﹒變焦好像只得四段，最wide，最tele，和中間兩段；光圈又係得三段，不知實際使用時會否很不就手？

３﹒個人較喜歡專用電，而且聽說AA電回電時間較慢，閃燈要5秒回電，用專用電會較快。其他牌子如S60等都已送差電差座。3880的售價不算便宜。

Yes. I also have this case the flash "flash" many time ar,right?
I try that auto WB is not good...worse that cooppix3200......must need to set as manual...

Thank you adichan for your samples. The wide adaptor is another attractive point as it is not too expensive $5XX and is not bulky as compared to other wide adaptor. Most of them are much bigger than the built in lens.

If I buy the extra Li-on battery with charger I will have to pay another few hundred dollars. The total price will be more expensive than S60. S60 price is 3780 with 128MB and 24 months installment.

yes... the strange thing about the external flash + self-timer is that the external flash sparks many times!
the design is that for self-timer, the internal flash will flash every second to show the count down. But when external flash is attached, the external flash also sparks as the internal flash once it is changed! So, if you are lucky, the external flash might spark at the moment of the shutter opened... if you are lucky....... how come.........

to disable the "Step Zoom" function, rotate the main mode dial to "SETUP", you will find it at the last option in the last page (page 3).





To all considering Canon S60:
1). GX's lens is much faster ( i.e. Bigger Aperture) especially at Tele end (F4.3 vs F.5x) It's very important for compact DC i think, because most of time you won't bring a tripod with you, so you gotta hand holding the DC. Thus if the aperture is small, the exposure time is long and you will hand shaking.

2). GX is faster in startup and shutter lag. That's important for compact DC as it's for snapshot.

3). AA battery is important and probably you will carry the DC every day, but you don't know when you will take a lot of photos. So AA battery provides infinite power.

4)... etc etc!

Just my opinion:
1) I don't know how the real difference between F4.3 and F5.X at the tele end and that between F2.5 and F2.8 at the wide end will be, but do you know the max. aperture of S60 when in 85mm? (considering the full tele is 100mm)
2) Again the start up time of GX is superb. S60 may take 2 seconds more. Is it a real big difference. I owned a Nikon 995 years ago. Start up time is really long. I solve this problem by letting the DC to stay on standby status between every shooting, in order to achieve a faster 'startup' time.
3) I personally prefer Li-on battery as it can last longer than AA rechargeables, so as to reduce the battery changing times. However in the case of GX, it is mostly welcomed as it can use both!

What discomfort me is I still couldn't find very impressive picture samples of the GX (even in the official website of Ricoh, they don't supply full resolution samples). Sorry adichan, I'm not commenting on your posted pictures but I do expect some pro-users or reviewers should have posted some tested samples in the web like all other DCs.
