小弟也是300d 用家, 用了這支鏡半年了! 這是一支變形控制得不好的鏡. 早前有位師兄借了小弟的300d 影相, model 變了'肥妹', 由於這支鏡的變形問題而不在model 本身!
其實, 所有用黑鏡影出來的人像相model 的面部都有明顯的變形, 師兄有部份相用小白(EF 70-200 f/2.8L IS USM)來影, 那些相全部正常!
因此, 還是用小白或小小白好!

阿師兄，鬼吾知坐的士舒服過迫巴士咩，小小白，小白幾多錢呀，kit鏡幾多銀呀，仲有wide angle 同tele 鏡比咁係有吾同la，影人像點會用WIDE ANGLE呀，師兄。

我的經驗，kit鏡以咁o既價錢有18mm係吾錯，不過d QC 真係麻麻，吾係支支都KEEP到水準，我試過幾支都有吾同效果，有D 鬆得好嚇人，所以都幾睇彩數，所以如果求方便就買LA,因為佢真係好輕巧，如果諗住點都敗返一兩支鏡，不如慳返6舊水。

維起支kit鏡幾百蚊賃仔,一分錢一分賃啦,"人像相model 的面部都有明顯的變形"話時話你唔會用18mm果面影人像掛,係就我比支紅圈鏡你影都變啦,正常55mm果邊再乘1.6X都有88mm變形唔會太顯注,焦距上一定好難同70~200呢類tele lens比較咯.

Totally agree Ahjian brother. For this price, kit len is very good. It is designed for 300D. When comparing with 17-40L (on 300D), the kit lens is only a little bit lower scores than 17-40L.

Also, please do not compare a wide lens and a tele lens. It is totally different.

小弟有時都有用kit lens wide angle 影人像. 整長model手腳，幾好玩．當然，大部份時間影人像小弟係用50mm 1.8. 但係kit lens真係幾好用．

17-40mm F4 都用過．成像比kit lens好　．．．　之但係kit lens真係平好多．個人認為係kit lens真係幾好用，係平正之選！

From the view point of shape when in wide angle, I also agree that it's 變形控制 is not good. So I always take at 50mm range.

As a conclusion, this kit lens is good for learning if your budget is limited but want to learn more in photography.
