Are the reaction and focusing speed of the following DC acceptable in takinig photos of a running / playing kid.

1. Oiympus C-5060
2. Canon G5
3. Canon Pro 1
4. Nikon 8700
5. Nikon 5400

I use G-5. Its focusing speed and reaction is very slow. But its photo quality is very good. If you want to take photo of a running/ playing, I think G5 is not suitable.

I think Olympus C-5060 is a good choice. Its focusing speed and reaction is much faster than G5. Quality is also good. Actually, I think 5060 is slightly better than G5. But I am not sure if it is fast enough for you.
