i am using olympus C770

Will there be problems if I transfer other photos to xD card through xD card reader, can the DC detect those photos?

Don't try this. The photos cannot be read by c770.

Also, Never try to format the xD card by card reader, otherwise your xD card cannot be read by c770 !!!!

you mean i can transfer photos (taken in 770) to computer through xD card reader, but i can't format the xD card in card reader ?

1. can I delete (delete all instead of format) photos taken in xD through card reader ?

2. you mean cant detect is coz the photo file is not jpeg so cant detect ?

Yes, if you format the xD card by card reader/writer, the xD card cannot be read and format by c770. REMEMBER!!

I never try this but I don't recommend.

No, the files are in JPEG format but they can't read by c770.
