i bourght 300D about 2 months ago. i went to the canon web site to do my warranty registration. then they sent me an e-mail and said i don't have to sent the warranty card back, but they told me not to put it into bin, because we have to show the warranty card and the receipt to them when we sent the product back for repair. so if you do the internet registration, keep the warranty card and receipt with you, and show them if it is needed
