I have one. Ther's no doubt on its quality, the only worry is the price!
Only lab test can tell the difference between this DO lens and 70~200 f2.8 L lens! I've tried it under board day light,during a concert but still I can't find its weakness. (The photos were enlarged to 12R size !)

I remembered a web site tell the main weakness of DO lens,

seems if u use f/11 or less, the quality will be reduced.
Also if you face a bright and dark interface, seems the photo quality of edge will be reduce. Forget from which web site.

But normally use, I don't think u can see any difference with L lens for 4R.

hello airflow,
i want to buy that lens also, because the IS, DO,and 70-300!
and i also have the questions on it's quality, and expecially it's weak point "halo" effect, of the DO lens but actually i can tell you that my company is using this "Green lens series" for digital betacam video!
any one have commen on it's halo effect? and can i solve this problem?
and will the CPL filter works normally? thank you all expert!
beside i agree that the quality between the "DO' and "L" may not be very big (and expecailly it's setting is good for digital).
