just installed the EOS 300D russian firmware!
now i can use single shot focus lock!!!!!!
and FEC
and 即時改resolution,mirror lock up!

淨係FEC and one shot focus都值啦!

好開心呢!!

最重要係可以revert to original firmware 1.1.1

依家睇緊10D說明書...

依,都係無得自由改metering mode bor,定我搵唔到?

dchome 有人試過就算revert返個original firmware，canon會check倒你crack過。

PureVector on DPReview advises:


1) Reset all the CF to the original 300D settings. Note: you cannot use the Reset option in the menu, it does not affect the CF's. Below is a list of default binary values from left to right (The bottom numbers in the CF menu):

0,0,0,0,0,1,0,11,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0

2) Check to make sure the red-eye-reduction icon no longer blinks!!! If it is still blinking, you have not set all of the CF properly.

3) Flash back to original firmware 1.1.1.

Russian firmware 不可設定:
1st and 2nd curtin flash sync，有option but 無功用\n測光mode依然無得改

Yes...Canon can check whether you install the crack file or not. If they check you have cracked the firmware, there is no warranty ga.

AI already installed the firmware so no matter what you do, you already not able to ease the record and the warranty viod, so why not do nothing and keep using the hacked one and keep shooting. Make the 300D be the tools that fit your need?

我用左crack firmware 都成半年啦, 都而家都未有事, 不過壞左機攞去canon 整佢真係check 到咩? 如果唔係個firmware 有事攞去整, 佢地會唔會專登去check 呀?
不過而家一部300D咁平, canon d 機又好小壞, 都唔駛咁驚啦, 你用左crack firmware d function 都賺番啦.

我用左一整日,由放工到依家三點,週遊網海, 睇左好多好多有關300D / digital reble / digital kiss o既 hacked firmware post,都發現好多人用左好耐都無事,都有人revert完original firmware然後去整機都無canon technician出聲,重有好多破解300D o既技術討論,原來300D係行DOS o既,有行x86 o既chips! 重有其他人一路crack緊, 重有隻hackware可以提高FEC,真係得意.咁多人都無人話hacked firmware賴野,重有人見firmware update 一次install 一次.....

睇完dpreview.com同好多其他forum之後,我安心左好多,300D無乜點壞機,focus唔準都係好少數,當中有部分又基於用家問題,又有好多人原來見hack firmware出一隻安一隻都無事,似乎比想像中問題細.

至於保養不包電子零件費,算啦,當比月費啦,起碼FEC令我唔買燈啦,我又唔洗大power燈,只係要光少少,加一級已經幫左好大忙, 減一級都解決左好多近野爆白o既問題.

算啦.

i feel much better now, i will keep on using this bloody nice firmware fron now on.
