光zoom = Optical zoom?
Among E550, C4 and R61 only C4 allow zooming during movie recording...
by far there's Canon S1 IS (10x), Minota Z3(12x) and Sanyo C4(6x)allow optical zoom in movie mode...
Sanyo C4 has the best audio quality (48kz/ 16-bit stereo) then Canon S1 (22kz/ 16-bit mono)
Seems that only Sanyo has MPEG4 function that allows u to record about an hour of movie in 1GB memory card...

其實我都吾知那一部好,但以上好似得 C4,可以在拍片時有光學變焦,用aa電又較小,(但全自動)其它不是不好,但大部,加上s1只有3百萬像素

are you going to do a lot cropping or making 8Rs prints?
if not then simply 3MP is huge enough (for every 4Rs pics and some 8Rs)

主要用來做project的,好多時甚至要出12r相,可能出在一些會訊上,4百萬已是最小要求.訪問一些人.

I guess it's so tough to get u one DC producing nice 12Rs pictures while @ the same time it can make you some decent movies (with optical zoom available !)...
but regarding your job, Sanyo C4 might be better for capturing longer movies... (given you're happy with the MPEG-4 format)... I'm not sure about its interpolated 8MP pictures' quality... frankly I would grab another DC carries @ least 5MP (preferbly 6MP) for making 12Rs prints... (as if you're serious about your 12Rs pics quality...
but that would probably double your cost in purchasing >.< (anyway, I'd recommend Casio P600 for the 12Rs ^^)
