Why the 300D only have 180dpi? Can I set it larger? Why the very cheap DC also have 300dpi?What is dpi? what is the different between dpi and resolution?

dpi 即係 dot per inch , 即係一平方寸裡面有幾多點 , 當然點數越高微粒就越唔明顯

你係唔係響C1 Pro 入面睇到架? C1pro入面可以俾你set架禾~
dpi越細,晒出黎的相片越大(如果象素唔變)。但一般晒相鋪都係300dpi。

你可以計返囉~
6.3M=3072x2048pixels 再除返300 x300dots =10.24 寸 x 6.83寸。即可以晒到差唔多一張A4紙甘大都唔會有起牙(角)。

software D DPI係可以任你set，只係output時o既密度，６百萬像素係出３００ＤＰＩ又得，１００ＤＰＩ麵得，只係張圖個密度唔同，發影向大小，但係原圖依然係６００萬像素，你明唔明﹖ＤＰＩ跡係你印圖時係輸出控制。一寸裡面多ＤＤＯＴ，咪密左law，SIZE咪細左law。

- Download the photo to PC and then right-click the image file, select propeties. and then click summary tab. After that, click advance button. You will see the dpi.

scwong, u don't need to care the dpi of a pic of a 300d when download, this is only for default "density" of the pic. At the end, u still get 6M pixels.

For a 300d, there are ~ 2000 x 3000 pixels, if 180dpi then u get a view about 11" x 16" size by ur software in computer. At ur software if u don't want to see this large size of pic, u can redefine the dpi of pic, i.e. 400dpi, u also can see a 5" x 7.5" view.

When u want to output, u also can redefine the dpi to resize the photo as u wish.

DPI only affect the result of printing output.
for computer screen, DPI is meaningless
computer screen count pixel
and computer screen only has 72dot per inch

uu see? 180 dpi is just a default which doesnt make any affaction to your monitor viewing and actual size
