Any one using Pentax ist D??
How do you compare to Canon or Nikon DSLR?
I am quite interested on Pentax ist DS..( a compact DSLR)
Any comment? everyone...

以前睇過一本書仔compare過Canon 10D,300D, Nikon D100, OM E1, Pentax istD,須然呢D書仔不能盡信......結果Pentax istD包尾........

我個人對Pentax ist D/ S既意見,佢同OM糸存在有同樣問題,鏡糸配件選擇唔多,因唔係大路既DSLR雜鏡廠既鏡未必一定全部鏡都有出Pentax mount,有都未必入貨較難溫,同埋Pentax好似晝質一般,大家都差唔多環境買佢我不如悚OM E300好過,起碼OM 晝質好好多.

I'm also interested in this dslr. let me try to compare:

*istDS pros:
Big ViewFinder (0.95x)
Compact

*istDS cons:
difficult to buy/sell pentax lenses
few buttons, so need to use LCD a lot

300D pros:
cheap
easy to buy/sell lens
low noise

300D cons:
limited functions (as i know, no selection of AF, AE, no FEC. After Cracked, can select AF and FEC, but still no AE selection. Press AEL can make spot AE, but it's 9% of the area. can it called spot??? Please correct me if i'm wrong)

D70 pros:
full functions (even 2nd curtain flash!!)
good cont. mode (3fps, then 2fps when buffer is full)
maybe buttons, good control (but i find the front dial is not positioned well)
the kit lens is good

D70 cons:
Big and heavy
too small viewfinder (0.75x...... fyi, 300D is 0.8x, but they are similar maybe it's because 300D is 1.6x FOV)
a bit expensive

i think the available choices of the lenses for E300 are much less than *istDS. and the noise of E300 is still very worrying. and *ist DS is smaller than E300.

however, 4/3 system is dedicated designed for DSLR. the FFT sensor with lens making the light vertically incoming sounds good. and there is dust removing function (but is it useful?????)

OM E1晝質紫邊都控制得好好,唯獨淨係衰高ISO D noise唔係好理想,歸究佢CCD size細掛,4/3 designed 係best for DSLR,但CCD太細就始終會有一定極恨.

yes.. and it's too pity that there is still no fast lens (F1.x) available. Is there any F2.0 yet??? the sensor is much smaller. it should be easily and cheaper for making some fast lenses! it should be one big advantage of 4/3 system!!!!! What OM is thinking?!!

iso200/400啲noise都幾好啦

其實pentax出機個purpose都係想簡單直接
左右手配合幾個掣就出個function

鏡頭選擇就真係問題喇
以前去大小相機鋪都幾易搵
依家我諗要去訂喇
冇辦法canon同nikon雄霸市場

*ist D 在 iso 800 以內 noise 控制得很好，1600 及 3200 會有可察覺的 noise。

iso3200可以話慘不忍睹
不過大部分機都係咁
其實都冇所謂嘅平時睇相都係4R size
我想問下stupid_idot兄
27mm(35mm計)或以下焦距有冇黑角呢?
因為睇sample好似都幾明顯
其實我有啲想買*istDs加支24mm影風景

我用到 16mm (24mm) 影都無黑角. 但我唔係用 kit 鏡. (我從不讚成用 Kit 鏡, 因質素太差, 跟本不能反映部機的真正質素)
