新年將會第二次去意大利旅行，記得第一次去意大利時影之相不大理想（傳統相機 + 差勁之技術），因此很擔心今次如果用 G5 會不會影唔到 D 大型建築 (我沒有 wide converter)。本來想買部 D70，但因近日用錢太多，所以不想買住。

所以想問一問大家有什麼建議？謝謝

I just visited Italy this summer. 20mm lens with EOS film camera are only barely sufficient.

35mm G5 is surely not enough and there are many places that do not have enough room for you to step back in order to shoot the whole building or statues.

Do get a wide angle converter and lots of memory cards or you will waste you trip again! ^_^ Good luck.

20mm wide lens may be better though still not cover all task.
Use more imagination and creativity, do not limit by your camera.
I travel italy four times and just brought 24-120mm tele. lens.
Don't bring too much if you travel by yourself.

買WIDE啦，0.7X都夠架啦，五百至八百視乎牌子。

28MM都得，我細佬係影相白痴，羅部RICOH O既28MM DC仔，影返黎Ｄ相靚到。。。。Ｄ BUILDING都靚可以，一般都出到好大，太WIDE又影生活照煩。

佢得兩張咭，都係四圍影，四圍燒碟，原來好多數碼晒相鋪，佢只燒不晒，不貴，好COMMON，連克羅地亞都好多，唔使煩，佢係HI TECH TOY白痴，所以燒碟既SAVE MONEY又ARM佢架啦。

佢一年自由行幾次歐洲，都係邊行邊燒，NO PROBLEM。

RICOH都真不愧為輕便機之皇，係攝影白痴手上無調校同直出相紙都非常靚！

不過我都係中意D/SLR，輕便機得隻五十年前O既RICOH 500.....

Thank you. Having read your advice, I think I would buy a 0.7 x wide angle converter. Currently, I do have a 52 mm adaptor together with a PL lens. For cost saving purpose, is it OK for me to buy a 0.7 x 52mm wide angle converter?? Will there be any problem with such combination (G5 + 52 mm adaptor + PL lens + 52 mm 0.7 x wide converter) ?? Meanwhile, which brand is good?? Canon (expensive) , Kenko or Raynox??

Raynox is famous

yes there are 52 or 58mm wide adaptor, my friend brought a 52mm wide converter for his G1, no problem, i see no dark coren on the photo, i think it suit, but beware! MAKE SURE there is filter screwing ring on the front of the adapter. because some adapter lens got not filter screwing ring on its front.

your set up is 52mm adapter + PL + wide converter ?
or u can buy a bigger new PL lens to fit on the front of the wide lens. coz it will become very big after the wide lens has mounted. u will need a very big PL filter, something about 58-72m.

or i can think this way, the money saving way:

puting the PL in the middle although is a bit strange, but i m thinking, why u need to take if off? may be for street snap shot and shooting human, so may be u can take of the PL+wide at the same time as well, if that is the case, PL in middle do fine, i think.

其實都唔使一定要堅持影晒,因為係無可能o既,咁Q大,不如影下d close up detail, 哥德尖塔d裝飾, 羅馬柱d唔同o既柱頭同石板路, 克洛克式d超浮誇裝飾... 其實依家買本建築物入門式art history 速成咪左佢到時咪仲過引.

dont spend too much money on camera, spend it on your trip instead.

Thanks again for your valuable advice. I think I have made up my mind to buy a "Raynox" wide converter. It only costs around $500.

I will bring along with me at least 2G memory so that I can take more than 1,000 photos during the 12-days holiday.
