Cannot load movie from my new IXUS 40. Have installed the Solution Disk, I can just load the photos but not movie. PLEASE HELP, THANKS!

It may because you have not installed the Quick Time Player.
If the format of the movie is *.mov.
It needs Quick Time to play it.
I hope it can solve your problem.

Actually I've installed the "Zoom Browser EX" which bandled with the DC, however, when I load the things in my DC, only images were loaded. It said cannot read those photo.. (actually they were movies). Besides, I've installed the Quick TIme at the same time. Cannot figure why!?
I've copied the movie and tried to open them by Quick time but it said invalid file format....
Anyway, thanks for your reply!

Do you have a Card Reader?
Can you copy all the thing to your computer?
Or may you tell me the format of the mov file?

Sorry, I don't have any Card Reader, is it more stable for loading images or movies? Any brand suggested, caused I'm planning to buy one in lunch hour!
For the video, I have to check it tonight, will tell you later! THANKS! :)

Card Reader can provide a more easy and fast way to transfer data, without connecting the DC with the computer.
You can buy a 18 in 1 or you can buy a crad reader just for the card of your dc.

Check your Window Media player, see whether it works properly...
Canon's movie are all Avi files... and Card Reader's advantage over DC is just the speed...
hence neither Quicktime player or Card Reader won't help...
by the way, is your problem "cannot transfer the movie files" or "cannot play those movie files"?
