I want to buy a flash light for my Canon Powershot G5. I am considering to buy Speedlite 550EX or Speedlite 420EX.
Do 420EX is enough for G5?
Do 550EX is better for G5?
Is there any alternative?

Hi,

I have both flash, (just upgrade from 420->550), for my G2 and 300D.

I think G series match w/ 420EX is good enough, but 550 can play much more. I can send you 550 EX en manual if you want it (before you make the decision.)

fyi, 420EX 2nd hand is ~HK$800-900
550EX 2nd hand is ~HK$1700

Get Sigma DG500super, which fully supports all ETTL function but only for the price of a 420ex.
