It depends on what resolution you are using, what compression and how long you'll be staying.

E.g. for my DC, 5MP FINE ~2MB@
So, a 1G card can record ~500x photos

Digital wallet is good, but you should buy/get one with monitor, coz I've got 10 of my photo corrupted when transferred to Digital wallet without knowing it.

Notebook is good, but you'll need a slim B5-sized one coz, a full size notebook will be too heavy to carry
