題目不太明focal length數值大的含意     Post time: 4 月 19 日

請問focal length數值大means good for macro shooting and shooting people with blur background?
If I need to take pictures of landscape most of the time then should I buy a camera with 24/28mm focal length?
I have a Canon G5 with 35mm focal length. Should I trade in for another dc or buy a wide angle 'mirror' (sorry don't remember the official english name)?
I apology if I ask something stupid.

Focal length does not relate to macro capability. The minimum focus distance indicate the macro capability of DC. If you shooting people with blur background you need the lens with long focal length and/or fast (Aperture) lens.

The wide angle DC 24/28 is suitable for landscape.

Use wide angle DC for landscape is more convenience than use add-on wide angle lens on your G5.

Also you can see the effect of different focal length at http://consumer.usa.canon.com/app/html/EFLenses101/focal_length.html
