Hi, all big brothers, I would like to share my experience of being cheated.

"A couple of days before, I bought a lens through second hand photography stuff exchange web site "DCxxxxx". The seller claimed that the lens is a hong good with around 5 months warranty. And he will also provide the purchased invoice.

t the date of transaction, he said he forgot to bring the invoice and will give it to me later. I trusted him and took the lens. Few days later, when he gave the invoice to me, I found that the lens was listed in the invoice but without its serial number. The seller explained that maybe the sales who sold this lens forgot to write it down and He can ask the sales to write down the serial number. And I said I will take the invoice first.

After we dismissed, I took out the invoice again. I found that the invoice had been modified. There are two items in the invoice, but were written by two different pens with different style. SO, I went to the shop with printed on the invoice and asked the staff there. The sales who issued that invoice told me that the first items was written by him while the second wasn;t.

Then, I called back the seller again and told him my findings. He promised that he will find the correct invoice and call me back at that night. If he can't find the invoice. The seller will refund back to me. However, he haven't called me back at that night, even the day after. Therefore, I called him back in the next, but noone answer...."

Now, what I have are the lens and the modified invoice.

What should I do? Pls all big brother give a solution!

If the lens is OK without problem, then you treat yourself as learning a lesson.
On the other hand, I would call police. Alteration of document and make false claim is illegal. You know his no. and his login in here, police can trace back to the person who login in here with the help of dcXXXXX and ISP. The point in reporting to police is to stop bad guys cheating again.
