I'm considering which to purchase too. And Canon S70 is also one of my choices. Most of my friends (mid-professional level) recommend this model for a fresh DC user.
And I agree too comparing Olympus and Canon.

I used S60 before and already sold out ....because image is soft, auto-focus not always accurate, 1 out of 20 is out focus -- I don't understand as i selected center point as AF point, my son stand at the centre and cover 50% of photo, BUT the focus point still can go to the background...
Not sure if S70 has improvement than S60. But i will not buy Canon DC again.
My friends using C5060 and i see the photo quality is much better than my S60.
So i suggest to buy C7070

先多謝各位既回應及意見.
本人以前都有用開菲林機,但太笨重,配件又太多.出外旅行好唔方便,所以多年前轉用傻瓜機,而一直以來都係以28mm作為標準鏡.
以前當然係影人像為主,現在已轉為主要影景.
又因手掌比較大, 手指又長, 唔習慣d咭片型DC, 最後選左 Olympus C7070 or Canon S70 兩部.
兩部機功能差不多, 而Olympus C7070 仲可以加外閃.進可攻退可守,但價錢比Canon S70 高.....5280 - 4280 = 1000......比 Olympus C5060 貴 5280 - 3860 = 1420 (但主要分別祗是高了2百萬像素,唔化算,而且好少人討論過), 而 Olympus C5060 轉盆出過問題, 所以冇乜信心.
雖然有做過功課,但姑終冇實際用過,,所以希望各位俾d意見..謝謝

I got a S70 2 months ago. The price is reasonable ,$3900 with 512Mb CF in Wing Shing. Because my old DC use CF & I have a microdrive. So I chosed S70. Size is OK & not so light in weight. And its mannual function is good for beginner like me. And the 28mm wide is good for indoor & wide view. I also experience out focus sometimes, but I think it is my problem rather than S70. And I plan to buy 350D later, so the CF & battery can be interchangable.
If you don't mind the DigicI, S70 is a good choice.

只係 Crop左個Image 上下炸．
不如再比多Ｄ上 Nikon 8400....24mm！啦 ：Ｐ

我睇完個link 只係知佢係32.5mm...
又之前睇個D review 話影4比3相時只係上下多左.
咁我已為 D相只係係 4:3到crop出來呢 :(
