Canon 20 D compare to 350D, some people said no big different, because the body use same thing to make...i saw one web site...D perview..their photo caompare seem same qty...

similar in quality but different in functions.
for serious amateur, 350D is sufficiently capable to fit their needs.

There are key differences:

20D features 9 AF points Vs 350D's 7 (both 100% accurately focuses)
but 20D is marginally faster with

5FPS vs 350D's 3FPS (Continuously to 23 frames vs 14 frames)

18 custom functions for 20D Vs 350D 9 cn of the most commonly necessary and sufficient for the amateur shooters

but 350D is handy and the lightest & smallest DSLRs until present
(even the Pentax D1st L/S, Nikon's D50, upcoming KM D5 is not of comparble sizes & weight)

The shape of both are similar but 350D looks a little more streamline, though the handgrip may be too small for bigger hands

20D has a PC terminal for additional flash Vs 350D's only available hotshoes external flash plug

Price difference is roughly $3K - 4K as you could use the excess $ to upgrade a more powerful lenses (both uses the same kit lenses)

20D has 2 dials for manual mode whereas 350D features a mixture of dial and arrow keys (which I found very useful after getting used to)

20D's 3200 ISO speed is activated through a boost function, it is the only 2 semi-professional dslr uses 3200 ISO speed around.

In real life, 3200 ISO is seldomly used by most shooters like serious amateur or even semi-professional.

20D's top LCD panel (in addition to the LCD monitor)

20D is made of light but solid magnesium allog whereas 350D is strong reinforced plactic material.

Power consumption: 350D can be shot for just above 600 frames (roughly 2 long trips of over 7 days) and 20D is slightly longer lasting
