FX8 la~ better lens (Leica) and a true optical stabilization (vs. casio's digital stabilization which indeed set ISO up to 1600 to reduce the hand shake....but FX8's OIS wont' need ISO to be set too high so image should be less noisy than EX-S500's)

Forget anything with internal flash. Internal flash is weak, and you should avoid using internal flash to light babies because their eyes are not mature.
You may consider one with a hot shoe. That way you will be able to use external flash, and make sure that the exteranl flash that you use has a tilt head. Then you will be able to bounce the light with the ceiling. Bouncing light is much tolerable that direct flash. I know because I am a father and I do take pictures of my BB.
