Ｌ鏡是Ｃａｎｏｎ鏡頭最高系列，會用到螢石或ＵＤ鏡片，所以比較高價，置於１Ｓ有當然好過设有啦，當有需要時就感到重要了！

仲有鏡身組裝好紮實,大部份有防水防塵設計,最適宜戶外活動拍攝!!

You didn't tell us what is the meaning for IS for Canon lens, and what is the function and is it more expensive ?

'L'是Luxury的意思，即係高貴鏡，又高級又貴的鏡咁解。通常L鏡會用到一些較高成本的製作，例如超低色散鏡片甚至螢石鏡片，減低色散及變形，所以質素較高。

IS是Image Stabilizer的簡寫，即是今天間間廠都會的防震系統，但Canon是最早於相機鏡頭開發此系統的廠商。有IS的鏡頭通常都貴2000元至4000元不等。我個人覺得今時今日，這樣的差價並不合理，因為間間廠都有類似的系統，不獨Canon才有。

Last Saturday, though I was not in the Computer Show, I went to APM (Kwun Tong) and happened to find there is a very large Canon Road Show.

I have tried the 17 - 85mm IS USM, the build quality is not bad and the optics are very good indeed. It has a distance window and very good solid handling. The color is well saturated within balanced contrast and sharp too. I have not had time to compare this one with the 24 - 70mm, it seems the 70mm is brighter.

The handling of 20D is marvelous, and its viewfinder is very bright as the af points illuminates along with its focus rountine. Its design is comfortable to my hands and in fact it is not that heavy as I first think of.

The most impressive of all is its speed, it is just instant on every operations from af, to CF writing to review, etc. The af is just like shooting a machined gun, very hilarious after all.

Unfortunately, I missed getting the souvenir from the sales.

did you try a canon one series camera? You would have been "infected" if you gave it a try.

1) 17-40/4L
2) 70-200/4L
第三支將會係 24-105/4 IS L
應該成像(2)最好, (1)最wide, (3)最好用

Oh, there are a queue in that counter...but I got a spec. of 1D MkII, amazing how the designer have been so thoughful!

1D MKII has also got a second SD card slot and numerous of very useful functions for the pros. The lens in that MKII I think is a grey long tele but dont know what that is (may be some 300mm tele zoom lens)
