I have 3 questions regarding using V550, can any big brothers give me some advise.

1. The picture quality is default to NORMAL instead of BEST, is that Kodak take the NORMAL is the suitable quality for user?

2. Whenever I see AE (do it mean not sufficient light) so I have to turn on the flash light.

3. Whenever I see AF (do it mean it can't make good Auto Focus) so I have to make some adjustment, e.g. distance with object, flash etc.

In order to make good quality for pictures, should I make any adjustment to ensure NO AE & AF is on.
