Actually 40X is something of the past. 80X, 130X, 150X are here and pretty soon everyone will be using 4GB 200X cards.

For an ordinary shooter, dont u think 1G (or at most 2G) should be adequate ? unless you are heavy user n take pictures very very often ?

The lexar 40X WA cards and the Sandisk Extreme III (130X) mentioned here are all branded as "PRO cards".

If u are NOT talking about the "pro market", for a person with a Canon A85, A520 or Nikon 4100, 5200, 5600 etc. etc. etc., think Kingston 256MB card is enough. Actually nothing much to talking about for this type of cards.

I m a buget buyer, of a cost range from $500 - 700 will be my cup of tea!

As I m not using little compact dc, n I will try to sell off my 512MB CF soon, do u have any suggestion for me?

I keep all my 256 and 512 but traded in my 16MB five yr old card for a 2GB hitachi microdrive ($790; just for fun).

Lexar has 1GB 80X WA. Think you should get this one instead of the 40X. Of course, there are lots of other brands Sandisk, Kingston, Ridata, Transcend, Apacer, etc. with 80X. $600-700 can get you a pretty good one.

有人話microdrive 好易無易data ,
有人話用左成年都無事,
都唔知信邊個好~

但始終係 harddisk, 震佢一定唔好架啦~
但想睇下死的機會高唔高o者~

上代理行一句說話都冇問
即換全新, 真空 packing.
