I want to ask... tokina 12-24mm & SIGMA 12-24MM which one is better if I'm using in D70s?? I find that the view angle is different. Sigma say 122 something and tokina only 99... I did check Mongkok.. SIGMA 12-24MM really need 4400 around, but I'm still thinking of this two ?? Can anyway advance?? Thanks.

122 is on film while 99 on DX format,


The only reason for choosing sigma is that you want to try 12mm ultra wide on film or on FF body.(It's so great when you see 122degree without distortion in VF)

If you only use D70s, go straightly for Tokina

i bought the tokina 12-24mm as it has F4 constant at all time, so it is almost the same spec of Nikon 12-24 which is cost $6500, if the budget is limited, i think go for the tokina as most of teh ppl will recommend you to buy the tokina rather than sigma ..... and the photo for tokina is quite good as well....

It's seems more reasonable to buy Tokina 12-24mm. But I have one more question. I find it is 3680, is it reasonable price, and which type of CPL I need to buy, I hear that it is easy to get black angle if I use think one, is it correct?

slim CPL will already be fine, Nikon CPL II, B+W ,Kenko Slim, Kenko Pro 1D....etc....

i bouguht mine for 3600 in mongkok DC wave.... and the filter cost me 300 which kenbo Pro 1D ..... but the tokina web site recommend Hoya Pro 1... may be u can check it out that one also...
