I am a novice and would like to ask which one is better since the price is very close:

70mm -200mm:

I note it is a L len with good comments but no IS and range is shorter.

70mm-300mm:

New len with wider range and IS but it is new and no review can be searched.

成像肯定小小白好, 問題係需唔需要咁好, 因為70-300都應該唔差。 另鏡身設計小小白優勝。

成像小小白一定同級無敵，
機動性就70-300 IS優勝，
魚與熊掌，
不過我相信大部份用家會揀小小白，
始終都係L鏡好！

The specification shows the 70mm-300mm f4-f5.6. Is it a difference? It appears that you are right and some range cannot use f4?
