I wish to buy a new camera and is now using cannon S40 and I wish to buy a new one with 28mm len for travel purpose.

Is it too stupid to buy a KM A200 right now? Any suggestion?

要睇你預算幾多，前果排我提議想買Panasonic FZ-30既網友買A200，點知個個都話唔好，仲有人話dpreview.com個評語講得好差。
(p.s.其實A200係當代同級prosumer機入面dpreview.com唯一推薦既機型，而家諗番都唔知果D人係咪有居心。)

" Is it too stupid to buy a KM A200 right now? " I don't think so, 唔係個個人, 在任何時間, 情況下都需要用到 DSLR, A200 一類 Prosumer DC 有時比 DSLR 方便, 機身輕, 不易入塵, 有多角度EVF, 又可以拍 Movie, 你唯一需要擔心的是她會否有後續機, 畢竟 A200 已推出了一段時間.

A200個EVF係冇得多角度，
係咪個型號名太似，好多人都以為A2=A200呢？

Old model you can consider OM 8080 wide zoom; New model you can consider Kodak P880 or Fuji 9500.

KM A200 is a good prosumer dc, which my newest FZ30 cannot fully replace it:

1. very fast LCD/EVF refresh rate: 60fps
2. @ tele, under ok-good light condition, focus equal or even faster than FZ30
3. battery very easy to buy (from Minolta or Nikon, or many 3rd party brand)
4. flip-LCD very handy
5. 28~200..... a good "mid-range" lens
6. support TTL flash system (tho only for minolta's flash)
7. CF card......mean by using the adapter, u can use most other memory card too, such as MS pro duo, SD/MMC, xD.

of course it has its disadvantage..... such as low-light focus too slow, battery consumer is just average, zoom barrel's opearte not as smooth as FZ30, MF ring's location.....etc etc.

how much does A200 selling @ HK now?

選a200唔笨

1. 28-200mm其本上夠晒你用(影遠野都得)，除非閣下經常打雀，咁買長炮機好d
2. 支GT鏡成像好(由dimage7去到a200都係用呢支鏡)，好難有紫邊
3. noise黎講都係算低(尤其係km ge dc)，其他包括om 8080，fuji 9500
4. 好手感，好多制都好就手，一個fn制就可以攪掂咁多個setting(但比a1, a2差少少)
5. 有反得ge lcd，取影方便d

但同時亦注意以下地方
1. marco：唔係所有ange都可以用到marco，只有wide marco(28mm)同tele marco(~170-200mm)兩段
2. evf係固定，唔似a1，a2咁可以向上屈90度(即係唔可以玩angle finder)
3. 暗位對焦慢，有時對唔到焦(km dc死症)
4. 內閃唔夠勁(可以買外閃，二手3600hsd都係八舊到)

ray_chen_hk: it really depence:

buy A200 if u:

1. want a true flip-LCD (not S9500's tilt-LCD only good for 90 degree)
2. want a faster burst mode of 2.5fps 5-frame (s9500's unforgiveable 1.5fps is the worst of prosumer in 2005)
3. want the support of TTL flash light if u plan to get external flash light (like 狂徒積克 said used 3600HS(d) for HKD $800 which is a tempting deal)
4. needs AS...... a true anti-shake system (vs. S9500's Anti-blue which is actually boost up the ISO....)
5. already had some Nikon camera which use EN-EL1 battey (same as A200's NP-800)

buy S9500 if u:

1. want 9mp
2. want an extra 100mm zoom
3. had some xD cards (S9500 dual slots)
4. had alot of AA battery / NiMH battery (which i prefer S9500 alot....and other prosumer should consider as well)
5. want ISO 1600 (or a nicer ISO 800 than A200....A200 iso barely ueable @ 400....better stay below ISO 200)
6. a fans of Fuji ^___^ (me 2....well....not entirely loyal to fuji...but my heart spilit toward Minolta and now Panasonic ; P )

PS: i feel by early 2006....there should be a A200 replacement that will "fully" react to S9500, FZ30, p880 .....even R1

Having considered all the opinion, I think A200 is such a good choice wor! However, just don't know why there isn't any suggestion for Olumpus 7070?

BTW, where can I find the A200 with good price ar?

i like it as well~ only disappoint of its video mode that's it ~ : )

its focus speed should be alot faster than A200, and it support xD/CF dual slots and selectable by just 1 button~ also tons of optional accessory (such as tele/wide converter, vertical grip...etc) : )

if u don't really need mechanical zoom, 7x lens, and a VGA 15 minutes movie, C-7070 i can say its a better choice~

A200 拍片都唔差，加埋原廠隻 wide converter lens 仲正！舊電都幾好力。不過低光對焦就麻麻！
