E-500粒CCD細，不過接近100%都係用來感光，普通CCD/CMOS得30-40%面積用來感光，為左彌補損失，每個pixel上面有個micolens幫助聚焦，所以連Nikon网站都話FFT-CCD先天設計上有較好resolution同dynamic range。

但入得e500 dual lens既朋友相信都係價錢而入
有兩支鏡用基本上頂到生活上大部份既用途
所以唔使入貴鏡住啦

e500始終唔夠e1吸引.....

如果要求唔高，佢兩支Kits鏡已經足夠日常使用。
所以不用另外買鏡也可。

就如anthonys所講，
E-500粒的確比較其他的CCD細小，
不過感光面積接近100%，
不用彌補因感光面積不足，所做成感光的損失，
所以畫質會比其他感光原件優勝。
不過，亦要看看其圖像處理器的功力。

良好的圖像處理器，可以做到高ISO高畫質的效果，
而且更可以有更快速的拍攝功能。
看來，OM在此方面要加緊努力。

在感光原件防塵方面，
OM的超聲波除塵已經做到良好效果。
當然亦有未能應付的地方，如帶油性的塵埃，
不過，正常使用下，OM比其他廠商效果更好。

我覺得閃燈制不就手，黑夜摸不到，如可改到像Nikon的位置最好。

good: cheap, lens quality ok, kit lens less CA than Canon 17-55 kit lens, better dynamic range in dark area than Canon 350D, 8M pixel with same price range as 6M nikon D50 or KM D5D

bad: smaller viewfinder than E-300 so that very difficult to view, noisy (iso 100 in e500 = iso 400 of Canon 350d), not too much affordable accessories, up-to-now no wireless ttl flash support (correct me if I am wrong), much slower autofocus than Canon D20, MADE IN CHINA may scare many JAPAN fans

Buy it if u don't want to expand your system.

Usually OM lens has big aperture, so they are extremely heavy. The deapth of field of 4/3 CCD is much smaller than FF.

The viewfinder of E-500 is extremely small and dark, nearly impossible to MF.

By the law of physics, the smaller the CCD/CMOS => the smaller the distance between the lens rear & the CCD, the DEPTH of FIELD in OM CCD is much LARGER than FF. That is, if u use f8 & a 50mm lens focus on a 5 m object, say, all objects in the range of 3.5m to 16m will be sharp for FF CCD/CMOS, but all objects in the range of approximately 2.5m to 30m will be sharp for APS-C or 3/4 CCD/CMOS

The NARROW depth of field for FF CCD/CMOS is particularly useful in shooting PORTRAIT

The WIDE depth of field for smaller size CCD/CMOS is particularly useful in shooting LANDSCAPE
