Sony P200, 7MP, water @ 2K, acceptable 640X480@30fps, lens quality ok
accept MSProDuo, or P150 at 2nd hand shop, if u can pay a little more, the Canon IXUS 750 is a good choice (water @2.6K)

On the average, Canon & Sony produce more satisfactory DCs

I've owned the following brand DCs & not quite satisfy, so please consider carefully:
KODAK & RICOH, good paper spec, poor lens quality & speed, poor writing speed [So I sold them already]
PANASONIC, good antishake, but very noisy [Sold already]
PENTAX, so-so lens quality, noisy CCD [I still keep a 5MP waterproof WR]
Konica Minolta (small DC, not A2/A200), so-so lens quality [still keep a G600, ok quality]
NIKON (I only have S1), lens quality ok, but a bit-noisy, the worst thing is the LCD, big but low resolution [give to friend]

go try to put the same low speed SD card on other camera, see see whether it can take movie?

Which one do u like, the 2005 Kodak image or the 2003 V1?
I played many small DC, Kodak brand is very good in spec., the V550 is much improved.... but....
