but why 14-45 is made in China
40-200 is made in Japan?

So am I. So 14-45 is the worse quality's lens but 40-150 is the best lens in this kit set.

one more thing. how can I check dead CCD pixel?
as I found a number of red or colour dots for in-door pics at iso 100 (without flash).
could they be hot spots?

At first, you should take 2 photos at iso100. 1 is all the black color. and 1 is all the write color. This is checked the write and black dead dots.
And you should take photos for higher shutter because it is avioded the hot dots and finding the color dead dots.

You take the photo for in-door, therefore I'm sure that you take the slow shutter without noise reduce (NR). And you should takes photos with flash and not. Test it more.

But I should check it while I buy DC or DSLR.
And I always go with my friends and colleagues checking there DC while they buy and after.

Do you think my English is quite bad ?

only $6200 kit set with 1G XD card. best performace/price I think so far.

咩牌子都玩下, 但係一上DSLR, 就固定左LU, 因為買既野太多, 已經懶得再換黎換去

hkzooo, my decision to go E-500 more or less after seeing your nice photos.
I got Sony W1 before, it is a good pocket DC too.
After trying E-500 (only 2 nights), I'm really inpressive to DSLR's speed, and response! My friends are also thinking to buy DSLR after trying my new toy.
the kit set is only HK 6200 with 1G XD card with free adapter +bag. It's definitely the best (performance/price) is the market!

one more question, is it possible to check the actual shuttle counter? I know there is one for Nikon.

我買了E500第一部DSLR之後都不想轉了，除非CANON出防塵啦。
否則就不換DSLR住了。

用咩相機, 真係無乜所謂架, 最重要係, 影相要多用腦, 越用得腦多, 影出黎既相自然會越靚, 所以無必要都唔駛轉來轉去。
以下情況先考慮轉 SYSTEM
1. 當你對某類攝影偏愛, 而你的SYSTEM 供應唔到你既要求, 換!!
2. 當你用的系統已經關門大吉, 再無法維修, 換!!
3. 當你中左一千幾百萬六合彩, 想玩多兩套, 換!!
4. 當你發現你現有的SYSTEM, 不可原諒的問題, 換!!

PS: 家家有本難念的經 有對焦問題, 有買唔到鏡問題, 有NOISE 問題, 有品質問題, 有顏色問題, 有銳度問題, 有價錢問題.....
你用緊既E-500 真係唔係最好, 不過我會覺得, 當我用佢配以14-54時, 出黎既效果已經好理想, SO FAR 無問題, 你知唔知其實"無問題" 呢三個字好難得架。
