I would like to buy Canon 30D(Body). Here's some question I wanna ask you guys.......

1) What things I need to check immediately when I buy the DC? How to Check?

2) I like to use the Marco for insect and flower and long distance(eg. 300mm) for snap. Of course I like to shoot the models also! Well, any good idea? (I'm very very poor man~!)

3) Any comment about the lens as below:

a. EF75-300 F4-5.6 III USM
b. EF28-105 F3.5-4.5 II USM
c. Tamron AF90 F2.8
d. Tamron AF28-75 F2.8
e. Tamron AF70-300 F4-5.6
f. Sigma AF70-300 F4-5.6 DG Marco

not OK, the EF70-300 is better, but if u buy the IS version beware some pieces cannot perform IS when zoom to a certain focal length WHEN shoot vertically

b. EF28-105 F3.5-4.5 II USM
I don't have, not yet used

c. Tamron AF90 F2.8
EXCELLENT, razor sharp! the sharpest lens I have
[BUT beware, the focus speed is very slow]

d. Tamron AF28-75 F2.8
I don't have, not yet used

e. Tamron AF70-300 F4-5.6
I don't have, not yet tested

f. Sigma AF70-300 F4-5.6 DG Marco
GOOD budget price lens, quality OK, but not very sharp at the edge, If u have $ buy the APO version, a little bit better, $1280 water good Tin Cheung
[BUT beware, the focus speed is very slow, hunt for focus at low night frequently]

buy a 2nd hand 70-300 sigma APO try try lah, quality ok gar

75-300mm is already outdated la , really hard to find outside now.
the quality is also poor la.
Buy 70-300mm la , the MTF is almost 1.
