Do you guys think that Nikon will development Full Frame DCs?

Nikon already mentioned that she will not have FF dslr in the near future

i understand APS has the problem of focal length increase and FF does not. But is this really a disadvantage of APS format? If a 200mm lens used on APS DC, it will become 300mm focal length, in this case this may not be a disadvantage. But wide lens may not be wide as it should be on FF....

I do not have the hope Nikon will launch FF. This is only a topic to be discussed what are the adv & disadv about APS vs FF and i would like to hear comments from different photog friends, only for knowledge as I am a new learner...so believe you should have valuable opinion why not to share and let us know more?

Space Walker, since you've already got a D50, why bother full frame or APS? Enjoy shooting!

我認為 NIKON 在不久即會有 FF DSLR 出, 事關在商言商, 市場有需求,
加上 CANON 又已有兩部, 再加上 CONTAX 又出 AI MOUNT 鏡,
PANASONIC 同 SONY 又加入 DSLR 大本營; 你唔出 FF DSLR ,
唔通想學 KM　咁執笠咩? 等 D200 賣到咁上下, 自然有另一番景象!!!

Nikon出唔出到FF??睇下邊個肯賣比亻巨啦，仲有quality問題,出多次D200 banding就無人再信亻巨?

Thanks for the the sharing from All of You. i think Mr. Anthonys' point is the key: FF --> low noice. I do not know much about technical side but can imagine that APS size is too small and will have limit of highest pixels because of the noise. while FF frame size has more room for increasinfg pixels under controllable noise. Believe this is the most advantage of FF over APS. Please let me know if i am wrong.

I am not much care whether Nikon will launch FF as i only invested little money but i am really interested about the market trend and how Nikon can compete if the whole market prefering FF and only them stick on APS. Of course this is their own business strategy. Or most likely the matter of face because they are the authority of the camera industry??

其實FF最大Disadv係貴過APS
如果FF有17MP, APS得10MP, FF可以用200mm打完雀先crop到似用300mm影, 唔使好似APS影之前crop
反而因為用200mm打雀, 更容易影到隻雀入鏡, 又可以更大空間crop好個構圖

其實未必無人賣FF sensor俾Nikon, 不過會唔會係天價?
成本會唔會貴過1DsII定價??
Canon有 FF DSLR已經4年, 又可以有幾大空間可以減???
新FF DSLR 有幾"白老鼠"????

加上DX鏡極大可能係比非DX鏡更暴利 (例如 17-55/f2.8DX $9xxx), 都令Nikon唔想使錢出FF DSLR

如果話 APS-C 係 Tele 方面有 Adv, 咁用 FF Chop 咗佢咪得囉, 掉轉就唔得喇, D2X 都係咁啦

Nikon 的確話過 APS-C 係 Digital 技術有所限制下比 FF 有 Adv, 當技術有所提升, 這應該就再不是她可用的理由了.

Yes,
1) APS lense are easier & lower cost to make same aperture compared with FF lense, however, APS f/2.8 has similar effect to FF f/4
That's why I said APS lense priced same as FF lense is 暴利

2) if APS DSLR using smaller new mount new system --> compact & light
